JARDIN DE PARIS JOINTED
JARDIN DE PARIS JOINTED
An hommage to the historical Savonnerie carpets, which were manufactured in France at the beginning of the 17th century. The ruling monarch King Henri IV, was known as a friend of the arts and promoted craft making. At his request, the first royal manufacturers were established, amongst them a carpet manufacturer. Jardin de Paris is a modern hand knotted silk and wool creation wherein modern rebellion dances upon traditional French savoir faire.
With his innovative collections, Germany-based Jan Kath has mastered a new level of artistry and craftsmanship in the realm of carpet design. Kath, a 20 year-veteran in the luxury carpet world, is guided by a bold approach in his work. He combines classical elements from oriental carpets with contemporary, minimalist design. The results are stunningly beautiful and unique pieces of art for the floor.
