To create a space of presence, a space for friends and family to see each other. That was the goal for Morten Mernøe when designing the ceiling light titled NO. 1. A light for the heart of every family, the dining table. Crafted by hand, the design bears strong roots to the design heritage of Denmark, while pushing the classic design aesthetic into the 21st century. NO. 1 is made from a solid, carefully selected, sustainable sourced piece of wood, which is meticulously turned into a thin lamp shade. Each shade is then sanded and treated with beeswax by hand. The light is mounted with brass fittings, each milled from a solid piece of brass, which is then polished and surface treated to compliment the wood.

NO. 2 is the second design from MERNØE, continuing the story of exquisite woodwork, balanced with beautiful metal work, which has become synonymous with the MERNØE brand. A diverse table lamp perfect for illuminating your desk on a rainy summer day or as a mood light on your console table, lighting up your precious vinyl collection. NO. 2 is the perfect addition to the MERNØE collection.

The shades for NO. 1 and NO. 2 are made from a solid, carefully selected, sustainable sourced piece of wood, which is meticulously turned into a thin lamp shade.
