Galerie SORS. is pleased to offer two one-of-a-kind pieces designed by the Italian design duo 06D Atelier, in partnership with the Hackney based artist Russell Bamber
“I was delighted to have been invited by 06D Atelier to collaborate, redefine and explore their beautiful Perseus Black Side Table and Pegasus Black Coffee Table.” Russell Bamber
The partnership with Russell Bamber reinterpreted two pieces from the Thinness Collection Matt Edition, Perseus side table and Pegasus coffee table, creating a one-off version with his signature colours. Russell Bamber intervention consists in using his established technique of lamination to give an unexpected colour injection to the matt black version of the geometric tables. Perseus and Pegasus are part of a metal furniture collection designed and produced by 06D Atelier, handcrafted in Italy, showcased during the 2018 editions of the Milan Design Week, Paris Design Week and the London Design Festival.
06D Atelier
06D Atelier is an Italian designer duo based in London composed by Mauro Fragiotta and Francesca Adami. The different training of the two designers allows the studio to operate in various kinds of projects, from product, to exhibition layout, to art direction, bringing together different influences to create contemporary revolutionary projects. 06D Atelier explores and modify the relationships between objects, environment and humans, experimenting with materials, shapes and functionality.
Russell Bamber
Russell Bamber's sculptures invigorate a space and bring an exciting and unexpected dynamism to the space they occupy. They are there to enlighten a space; to bring joy and dynamism to our lives, bringing a new and exciting twist to the space they occupy. His sculptures suggest function, but their function is to tease and beguile whilst coincidentally blurring the boundaries of sculpture and design.
